The smooth chrome-free leather has a very light and natural-looking embossing. Together with the chrome-free suede lining, the Taschenbegleiter is made entirely of leather. Both leathers come from German tanneries. The WK_12 only has two pairs of clips. When filled appropriately, this is a nice slim Taschenbegleiter. A pen inserted into both loops functions as its closure. This Taschenbegleiter lasts a lifetime and longer.*

THE FEATURES
The clips
You can open and close the stainless-steel clips with a fingertip. DIN sizes and notebooks by many other manufacturers can be used with our clips. No need to punch holes into loose papers. Your receipts, banknotes, letters, sketches, and tickets can simply be clipped inside together with your notebooks, calendars, or magazine. The stainless-steel clips are manufactured in Bavaria and thoroughly tested. And last but not least: The clips can also act as bookmarks when inserted in the double page you are currently using.
Soft vegetable-tanned cow leather
This soft, full-grain cowhide was vegetable-tanned and dyed at a German tannery. Very durable, thick, natural leather, available in various thicknesses, colors, and finishes. Our full-grain cowhide is chrome-free, vegetable tanned, and was dyed in German tanneries. Any imperfections such as wrinkles, scars, or possible signs from mosquito bites emphasize the nature of the material and its surface. The leather develops a patina over time. It is not necessary to grease our leathers. The natural oils on your hands are sufficient for creating a beautiful sheen over time. Please note that the leather will darken if you grease or oil it.

Suede leather – chrome-free
Another material we use for the inside of the Taschenbegleiter is chrome-free tanned suede from a German tannery. It provides a very comfortable writing surface and is slightly thinner than our 2 mm thick wool felt.
Engraving
Laser engravings are colorless. The laser burns into the top layer of the material and creates a precise indentation. All ROTERFADEN outer materials can be engraved. "Picture" or "text" engravings are possible. For a picture engraving, for example a company logo or a pictogram, you can upload an .eps or high resolution .pdf file. For a text engraving, for example a name, initials, or an aphorism, you can type in the desired text and choose between two fonts. Depending on the size, the optimal length for your text would be between 30-40 characters.
