Made from vegetable-tanned gray antique leather, combined with a light-colored chrome-free suede interior. The ST_17 has a large zippered compartment on the back, perfect for your smartphone, and other valuables. It has three pairs of clips for inserts and folded papers as well as extra pockets inside, some of which are canvas-lined. More information on the upcycling of VAUDE materials can be found in the "Features" section below. The Taschenbegleiter can be closed either with a – removable – elastic band or by inserting a pen through the right and left pen loops.*

THE FEATURES
Vegetable-tanned antique leather
This vegetable-tanned leather is dyed chrome-free with renewable raw materials and has a matte antique finish. It is sturdy, approximately 1.5 mm thick, and manufactured in southern Germany in compliance with maximum environmental standards. It is hypoallergenic.
Tent fabric (Vaude upcycling)
VAUDE, based in Tettnang on Lake Constance, manufactures and sells outdoor clothing and gear. The owner-operated family business is a member of the "Partnership for Sustainable Textiles" and was elected "Germany's Most Sustainable Brand" in 2015. The fabrics of tents, which can no longer be repaired at the VAUDE workshop, are made available to us by VAUDE. After cleaning and cutting, we use this material to line the ST_17 Taschenbegleiter. This upcycling process is quite time-consuming, but we highly appreciate the cooperation in terms of sustainability. Ultralight yet strong, tent fabric is the perfect lining for a Taschenbegleiter.

Suede leather – chrome-free
Another material we use for the inside of the Taschenbegleiter is chrome-free tanned suede from a German tannery. It provides a very comfortable writing surface and is slightly thinner than our 2 mm thick wool felt.
SIZE M (18 x 22 cm)
Size of the closed Taschenbegleiter: approx. 18 × 22 cm. This is our most popular organizer format. The clips hold our 14 × 20 cm notebooks, all standard A5 booklets, and folded A4 papers. Tablets and e-readers up to 13.5 × 20.5 cm fit into the high inside pocket or can be held by the elastic corner straps.

Engraving
Laser engravings are colorless. The laser burns into the top layer of the material and creates a precise indentation. All ROTERFADEN outer materials can be engraved. “Picture“ or “text“ engravings are possible.
For a picture engraving, for example a company logo or a pictogram, you can upload an .eps or high resolution .pdf file.
For a text engraving, for example a name, initials, or an aphorism, you can type in the desired text. Depending on the size, the optimal length for your text would be between 20–30 characters.
