The special feature of the ST_17 is its lining made from recycled tent fabric from the VAUDE brand. The gray vegetable tanned antique leather has chrome-free tanned suede inside combined. Three pairs of clips for notebooks and folded papers. A large zippered compartment for a smartphone, ID card or banknote on the back. The round elastic closure is replaceable.
The features
The clips
You can open and close the stainless-steel clips with a fingertip. DIN sizes and notebooks by many other manufacturers can be used with our clips. No need to punch holes into loose papers. Your receipts, banknotes, letters, sketches, and tickets can simply be clipped inside together with your notebooks, calendars, or magazine. The stainless-steel clips are manufactured in Bavaria and thoroughly tested. And last but not least: The clips can also act as bookmarks when inserted in the double page you are currently using.
Vegetable-tanned antique leather
This chrome-free leather carries the German Ecolabel BLUE ANGEL. It comes from a German tannery and is a beautiful combination of nubuck and aniline leather with a very soft feel. By lightly polishing the surface and very skillfully spraying it with natural oils and waxes during the final fulling, a very exciting flat sheen effect is created. A vibrant leather with visible natural features.
Suede leather – chrome-free
The suede leather from a German tannery was tanned without the use of chrome. It offers a very comfortable writing surface and is slightly thinner than our 2 mm thick merino felt.
Tent fabric (Vaude upcycling)
Tents which cannot be saved in repair shops anymore, are brought to us by VAUDE.
After cleaning and cutting, we use this material to line the ST_17 and ST_26 Taschenbegleiter.
This upcycling process is quite time-consuming, but we highly appreciate the cooperation in terms of sustainability. Ultralight yet strong, tent fabric is the perfect lining for a Taschenbegleiter.

FORMAT M: This is the best-selling organizer format. The clips hold our notebooks in M format, all standard DIN A5 notebooks as well as folded, loosely folded DIN A4 papers. Tablets and e-readers (max.13.5 × 20.5 cm) can fit in the high inside pocket.
Elastic closure – set of 3
The gray round elastic closure is knotted and replaceable. Many common elastic closures fit. We also offer them in colored sets of 3. Shop here.
Engraving
Laser engravings are colorless. The laser burns into the top layer of the material and creates a precise indentation. All ROTERFADEN outer materials can be engraved. "Picture" or "text" engravings are possible.
For a picture engraving, for example a company logo or a pictogram, you can upload an .eps or high resolution .pdf file.
For a text engraving, for example a name, initials, or an aphorism, you can type in the desired text. Depending on the size, the optimal length for your text would be between 20–30 characters.

Corporate Editions
Each TASCHENBEGLEITER can be customized with a logo/image or text. Either as an engraving or embossing in the leather and/or through embroidery on the inside. Your company color(s) can be communicated via inner material, outer material or elastic closure. You will receive special conditions for a series of personalized TASCHENBEGLEITER.
